Okay, so I am debating which blog to use. I really like the tools made available on the .Mac service. I have discovered how to allow for comments. Maybe I will use both. Check there if you can and offer any comments on the use of each blog.

turning over a new fall leaf
The new leaf this fall is my goal to watch as many college football games as possible. I watched 5 this week!!! Now you may say, “Is this Rob’s blog?” I understand the skepticism. I have not traditionally been one to watch more than 2 games in a given season unless someone offered me tickets to some great bowl game or just an evening with my Dad and brothers at ASU Stadium. But now with nothing to do during most of my days and God’s greatest invention of the last decade..... TIVO, I have decided I to become a superfan.
I don’t want to give you the idea that I have procured some further knowledge of the game either. I still know just the basics. I don’t know what all the little letters next to the players’ names indicating their positions mean, I don’t know formations, I don’t know all the rules and penalties, but I am ready.
You may ask for whom will I root? My answer is first UCLA thanks to the indoctrination of the Prince’s, Bragg’s, and Scott’s. (I watched that fantastic game against Stanford and found myself cheering.... alone in my house.) Second would be the underdog in any given game, like Appalachian State against Michigan. (That was beautiful.) Third, BYU. But only because I went there and it’s a school of Mormons. Lastly, anyone in the PAC 10. But, in the following order: UCLA (obviously), ASU, Arizona, Cal, Washington, Oregon, Oregon State, Washington State, then Stanford. The last four on the list are only there to complete the conference and are not in any particular order as I don’t really care about any of them. Lest you think me uninformed, you are right, I left out USC. I don’t root for them under any circumstances. For the simple reason that they don’t need anymore fans on their side.
